Olena Kalytiak Davis is the author of several poetry collections, including And Her Soul Out of Nothing, which received the Brittingham Prize in poetry;Shattered Sonnets; On the Kitchen Table from Which Everything Has Been Hastily Removed; and The Poem She Didn’t Write and Other Poems. Born a first-generation Ukrainian American in Detroit, she received degrees from Wayne State University, the University of Michigan Law School, and Vermont College of Fine Arts and lives in Anchorage, Alaska.
